Good But Has Issues

I love this game so much but there is a bug where my guide wont come back. I have 5 big individual houses with a chair, table, and lighting and walls but the guide wont come back. It says:"Jake would like to settle down" or something like that. I assume Jake is the guide. Suggestions?
