2 biome names: the corrupt biome (purple holes) and the crimson (red hills)

Tip: purification dust or what ever it is can undo the effects of the crimson (and possibly corrupt but I have not tested it)

Tip: the brain of kathulu (or what ever it is) and the eater of worlds (if thats its pre-hard mode name) can be summon by angering the corrupt (or crimson) which is done by exploading (or purifying if crimson) the shadow orbs (round things in the corruption) or the crimson harts (beating things in the crimson)

Tip: destroying crimson harts or shadow orbs may cause space objects to fall in your world (meteors) and drop good or bad objects to fall where the orb (hart) was

Theory: if you have noticed the giant skull in the crimson it may have the great leader of the crimson..... THE BRAIN OF KATHULU (still what ever its name is

Cave tip: giant worms are more effected by mele weapons then raged kind of just obvious

Question: why do people keep mixing up the crimson and the corruption I mean crimson is sound like a red color word but I guess corruption is confusing with the first color popping into your head so I dont blame ya so I dont know why Im still typing
